Amalfi's - A Taste of Italy in central North Carolina

Mom of I'm a Cook Not a Chef is guest posting for a little while until the real I'm a Cook Not a Chef returns in a few weeks. I haven't used this blog site before so please bear with me while I get used to it.

This is a great little Italian Restaurant we found in Statesville, NC. The food is awesome because it's made and served by real Italian folks.

I don't know why, but I really like when restaurants add a bit of ambiance with a wall mural.

No matter what you order at Amalfi's, you get a starter of fresh bread with a little plate of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and spices.

This is some deliciously fresh bread: warm and soft and very tasty.

We always order bruschetta when we visit Amalfi's. This photo doesn't do it justice. This one was made for a single diner but usually the bread pieces are a bit larger and we share it between the two of us.

Well, that's just a peak for now. You'll have to venture out there yourself to see more or wait until I go back and get some pics of the main courses or desserts.
