Eating Crickets in Luang Prabang

 

I’ve seen crickets sold all over Laos and when some friend brought some to the waterfall to snack on I couldn’t resist! They are cooked with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and a few other things.

Here’s the little guy about to go down…

And down he goes! Pretty tasty. No different than potato chips flavored with lemongrass and lime leaves. Stale potato chips that are a bit soft, yet still crunchy.
