Yummy Pho!!!! I love this stuff. Haven’t had a good bowl since I left Laos but I found a place near me that’s got it!
As you would expect from and self-respecting Pho Bar, the condiment tray is beautifully stocked. There’s hoisin sauce, Sriracha, fish sauce, soy sauce, fried chillies (of course..) sugar and black pepper. I use HEAPING spoonfuls of the fried chillies.
Can’t have good Pho without the veggie tray. It’s kind of lacking by my standards but gets the job done. We have some lime, jalapenos, Holy Basil, and beansprouts. There are two or three things missing that would make it perfect. Mint, sawtooth herb and green beans. That’s Lao style I guess.
Here’s my Pho after adding all my chillies and other sauces. I got the one with rare beef, flank steak, beef balls, tendon and tripe. Delish! And the small was so big even I had to take some home for later..
