Confusing Lao Fried Rice

I asked the waitress for Lao fried rice at my favorite Lao owned Thai restaurant yesterday and she was a bit confused.

She asked if I meant Thai fried rice with basil and I responded, "Lao fried rice is like Thai but it's even more delicious."

Of course a weird look was given but the end result was great flavor at a great restaurant.
