Everyone has been asking me to put my recipes on my blog so I figured I should post them every once in a while..
I was SUPER hungry one night and wanted some food that didn't involve a lot of effort but still tasted good and gave me that satisfied feeling. This is what I came up with.
We've got oil, fried shallots, soy sauce and MSG. OK, My oil sucks, really bad for the body. But I don't wanna just throw it away.. (When It's gone I get to use yummy coconut oil!)
As for the MSG it's not bad for your body. The American aversion to it is such BS. it's in everything you eat. It's in there all by itself even when you don't add it. It's makes stuff taste even better.
That said it's not necessary. There's enough in your Soy Sauce (ever wonder why you like it so much?) to get the job done.
Put some Oil in your smoking hot wok (or any pan that is NOT non-stick) and wait till the oil is smoking as well. Throw in your string beans.
Stir those around for a few seconds, careful not to let anything sit and burn.
Throw in your shallots/MSG/Whatever and then when all of your extras are in there splash with a bit of Soy Sauce. Really just a splash or two.
Done! Just quickly remove from the pan and serve. That was all I needed to do.
And just for your info you can now do any stir-fry ever. Stir-fry is just a technique and as long as you can do one dish you can do them all. Just make sure you have EVERYTHING ready ahead of time (aka Mise en place)
